Poltrona Frau Zhuang Desk Multi-Purpose Box by Neri&Hu

A lidded box carved from solid Canaletto walnut, with a Saddle leather band and lid and a brass-finish clip. From Zhuang Desk by Neri&Hu for Poltrona Frau, it keeps the small essentials of the desk out of sight and within reach.

A place for everything

The Multi-Purpose Box is carved from solid Canaletto walnut by numerical-control machining, with an interior niche whose wall slopes at 8 degrees. The box is finished with a band of Saddle leather, embellished with contrast stitching 3 mm from the upper edge.

Around a quarter of the leather-covered lid remains fixed to the structure; a metal clip at the opposite end acts as a handle and makes opening it a small pleasure. The Poltrona Frau mark is hot-stamped on the lid.

Out of sight, within reach

Paper clips, USB sticks, stamps, chargers and business cards all find a home inside. The desk remains clear and composed, and whatever is needed is never more than a lift of the lid away.

Zhuang Desk

Designed by Neri&Hu in 2019, Zhuang Desk extends the Zhuang philosophy, keeping something precious safe, to the writing desk. All metal details are made in brushed steel with a natural brass finish, protected by a transparent matt surface treatment.
