Poltrona Frau Rips Grey Glass Vase

A vase or a sculpture? Rips, by Carina Seth Andersson for Poltrona Frau, answers to both descriptions with perfect composure. In grey blown glass and two sizes, it holds flowers and branches beautifully, and holds a room quite as well without them.

A vase or a sculpture

Rips has the strong formal and material presence of a sculpture, which allows it to stand alone as a purely decorative object. Fill it with flowers, plants or branches, however, and it becomes an exceptionally graceful vase. It is, in short, one of those rare pieces that is never off duty.

The grey blown glass gives Rips a calm, smoky depth that changes with the light, from pale silver at midday to a deeper slate in the evening.

Designed by Carina Seth Andersson

The Swedish designer Carina Seth Andersson is known for her sculptural, deliberately restrained work in glass. Rips shows her approach at its most confident. The Poltrona Frau mark and the designer's signature are engraved on the base of each vase.

Two sizes

Rips is available in a small and a large size. The pair work particularly well together, and they keep excellent company with Blue Pallo, by the same designer.
