Poltrona Frau Nymph Table Lamp by Sebastian Herkner

A table lamp with a finely pleated shade in blown glass that seems to float above a base in natural brass and Pelle Frau® leather. Designed by Sebastian Herkner for Poltrona Frau, Nymph brings a gentle, dimmable light to the bedside, the desk or the sideboard.

A gentle presence

Nymph takes its name from the benevolent female deities of Greek mythology, the personifications of nature who watched over human life. The German designer Sebastian Herkner translated that idea of a kind, attentive presence into a table lamp of remarkable lightness.

Its blown-glass shade, ribbed like fine pleating, floats weightlessly above a truncated-cone base in natural brass, covered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® leather with contrast stitching. The effect is at once classical and entirely of our time.

Light, made with care

Inside, a cylindrical tube in PMMA with a textured surface houses an 18 W, 3000 K LED module at its base, producing a warm light with a distinctive visual effect. A touch control switches it on and off and dims it up or down. An external transformer with interchangeable plugs completes the electrical system.

The glass is blown by hand, so slight variations in colour and small air bubbles are to be expected; they make each shade unique and are a mark of genuine craftsmanship.

Two sizes, many combinations

Nymph is available in a small and a medium size, with a shade in satin milk white or smoked glass and a base in five Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® colours. The combinations allow the lamp to be tuned precisely to the room it will light.
