Poltrona Frau Leather Pot with Glass Vase
A cylindrical glass vase dressed in a cover of Pelle Frau® leather, with a fin-shaped handle formed by its contrast stitching. The Leather Pot by Simona Cremascoli comes in three sizes and nine leathers, and it looks every bit as good in company as alone.
Glass, leather and a little tailoring
The Leather Pot combines two materials that are seldom introduced to one another: the transparency of glass and the softness of leather. A cylindrical vase in stamped glass, its upper edge hot-cut, slips into a cover made from two strips of Pelle Frau® leather joined into a cylinder.
A line of contrast stitching defines the cover's geometry and forms a small, fin-shaped handle, so that the pot may be lifted and moved without ceremony. The edges are waxed and dyed by hand, tone on tone, in the manner of fine leather goods.
Three sizes for every corner
The small pot suits a single stem on a desk or a windowsill; the wide version holds a generous arrangement or a small plant; the high version is made for branches and tall flowers. Grouped in different sizes and colours, they form a composition that may be rearranged whenever the mood requires.
Nine leathers to choose from
The cover is available in four shades of Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® leather, three shades of the softer Pelle Frau® Nest leather and two versions of Pelle Frau® Motif Weavers, a digitally printed leather whose geometric pattern recalls woven basketry. The Poltrona Frau logo is hot-stamped on the cover, opposite the handle; on the Motif Weavers versions it appears on the inside.
