Poltrona Frau Ikiperu Leather Decorative Cushion

A decorative cushion composed of four leathers, with relief figures in Pelle Frau® Velvety on a Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® background. Part of the Ikiperu collection by Kristine Five Melvær, it brings the archetypal forms of ancient vessels to the sofa.

 

Ancient forms, in leather

The Ikiperu collection takes its name from the goddess Cupra, venerated by the Picentes and the Etruscans in what are now the regions of Marche and Umbria. Its designer, the Norwegian Kristine Five Melvær, drew on the archetypal forms of classical vessels and translated them into contemporary design.

 

On the cushion, those forms appear as relief figures: two semicircular silhouettes in two colours of Pelle Frau® Velvety, and two further silhouettes in a third colour that culminate in a point, all set against a Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® background.

 

Crafted to the last detail

The back is upholstered in the third Velvety colour and carries the Poltrona Frau logo, created by micro-perforating the leather. The cushion is filled with goose down protected by a cotton and polyester lining, and a zip hidden on the lower side allows the cover to be removed.

 

Two colourways

Sky Blue combines Velvety Clary Sage, Juniper and Rosemary with an SC 23 Tortora background. Earth Brown combines Velvety Cumin, Paprika and Sesame with an SC 51 Panna background. Both coordinate with the Ikiperu ceramics.
