Poltrona Frau Blue Pallo Glass Vase

A spherical vase in high-quality blown glass, finished in a Night Blue created exclusively for Poltrona Frau. Designed by Carina Seth Andersson, Blue Pallo is as content holding a single branch as it is standing quite alone.

Decisive, elegant and rather blue

Some vases wait patiently for flowers before they are noticed. Blue Pallo does not. Its generous spherical form and wide mouth give it a decided presence on a sideboard or dining table, whilst its graphic simplicity keeps it from ever appearing showy.

The colour is Night Blue, a shade developed exclusively for Poltrona Frau. Depending on the light, it reads as deep ink at dusk and as a luminous cobalt in the morning, so that the vase seems to change its mind about the room several times a day.

A designer's eye for form

Blue Pallo is the work of the Swedish designer Carina Seth Andersson, whose glass and ceramic pieces are known for their pared-back, sculptural quality. Here she reduces the vase to its essentials: a sphere, an opening and a colour. The Poltrona Frau mark and the designer's signature are engraved on the base.

Three sizes, one character

The vase is available in three sizes. The small version suits a bedside table or a bookshelf; the medium and large versions hold their own on a console, a dining table or the floor beside an armchair. Several sizes grouped together make a particularly agreeable composition.
