Giobagnara x Poltrona Frau Leather Dice Cup

A leather dice cup for those who feel that a throw of the dice deserves a little ceremony. Covered in two tones of Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® leather and supplied with five plexiglass dice, it is one of the most approachable pieces in the Giobagnara x Poltrona Frau Games Collection.

Fortune favours the well equipped

Fortune, one is told, favours the bold. In our experience, it is rather more inclined to favour the well equipped. The Leather Dice Cup is covered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® leather in two harmonious tones and arrives with five standard dice in opaque plexiglass with mud-coloured markings.

The cup is pleasant to hold, satisfying to shake and handsome enough to remain on the coffee table once play has concluded. It suits any game played with five dice, from a leisurely family evening to a more spirited contest amongst friends.

Crafted by two Italian houses

Giobagnara, established in 1999, has built a considerable reputation for leather workmanship, whilst Poltrona Frau has been crafting leather furniture since its founding in Turin in 1912. In the Games Collection, the two houses give familiar pastimes the materials and finish of a collector's piece.

Two tones of Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® leather

Each version pairs two shades from Poltrona Frau's ColorSphere® palette, a colour system developed with the colourist Giulio Ridolfo so that leathers and materials may be combined with ease. The result is a small object that sits comfortably beside the larger pieces in a room.

Colour versions

Each version combines two shades of Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® leather:

  • Charme: SC 66 India + SC 146 Coccio Pesto, a warm tan brown with a warm terracotta

  • Sea: SC 136 Ginger Bread + SC 276 Mineral Blue, a warm, spiced brown with a deep mineral blue

  • Chalet: SC 177 Limo + SC 136 Ginger Bread, a soft, earthy neutral with a warm, spiced brown

  • Urban: SC 05 Stucco + SC 55 Camel Hair, a pale plaster tone with a classic camel

Presented with care

The dice cup and its dice are placed in a cotton bag marked Giobagnara x Poltrona Frau, which rests in turn in a blue branded box together with the warranty certificate.
